Mouhou Desert Camp lies in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes, about 14 km from Merzouga – far from roads, noise and crowds. Here the Sahara is yours: silent sunsets, a sky full of stars and real Berber hospitality.
Choose our luxury camp with ensuite bathrooms and hot showers, or our comfortable standard camp with shared bathrooms. Every tent is private, warm and decorated with traditional Berber carpets.
Travelling from Canada? There are direct flights from Montreal to Casablanca, with easy connections to Marrakech and Fes, where our private tours begin. Prices can be shown in Canadian dollars.

Can’t find your answer? We usually reply within a few hours.
Meet us in Merzouga village. From there we take you to the camp by camel (about 1.5 hours) or by 4×4 (about 20 minutes). If you come with one of our tours, everything is arranged.
October to April is ideal, with warm days and cool nights. In summer it is hot during the day, so we plan activities for the early morning and evening.
Your private tent, a camel ride or 4×4 transfer, dinner, breakfast, sandboarding and traditional music. Quads, buggies and excursions can be added.
Pay a 15% deposit online and the rest in cash on arrival, or pay the full amount online (plus 5% taxes/TVA). You receive a receipt by email.
Yes – vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals are available. Just tell us in the booking notes.
Planning your Sahara trip from Canada
A night in the dunes costs from C$59 per person in our standard camp or C$104 in the luxury camp, with camel ride, dinner and breakfast included. Popular add-ons: quad bikes from C$74 per hour and dune buggies from C$192 per hour. Prices in Canadian dollars are approximate – the 15% deposit is charged in euros by PayPal and the rest is paid at the camp.

Getting to camp
Fly nonstop from Montreal or Toronto to Casablanca, then connect to Marrakech or Fes. Merzouga is 7–8 hours by road from Fes and 9–10 from Marrakech; we can arrange your transfer.
Canadian passports
No visa needed for stays of up to 90 days. A passport with 6 months’ validity is recommended.
Paying for your stay
Prices in C$ are a guide; the 15% deposit is charged in euros by PayPal and the rest is paid in Merzouga. C$1 ≈ 6.9 MAD.

March break, Canadian Thanksgiving in October and the winter-sun months of January to March are popular with Canadian guests.
What to pack
If you come for winter sun, pack a warm layer: desert nights can be near freezing in January. Bring a plug adapter (Type C/E, 220V); check your devices are dual-voltage.
