Student Groups & Gap Year Trips to the Sahara

Hands-on learning in the dunes: camel treks, nomad culture, desert geology, fossils and nights under the stars. We welcome Canadian schools, CEGEPs, universities, volunteer and gap-year groups with safe, carefully organized programs.

Learn in the desert

A classroom without walls

The desert teaches lessons no classroom can: how nomad families manage with very little water, how the wind shapes and moves the dunes, why fossils of an ancient sea are found in the middle of the Sahara and how an entire culture grew up around caravans and oases.

We design programs for school trips, university field courses, language and culture exchanges, volunteer projects and gap-year travelers. French-language groups from Quebec are welcome – French is widely spoken in Morocco – and our guides are used to working with young people.

Gap year

For gap-year and backpacker groups

Gap-year travelers often want a mix of adventure and real cultural contact. We combine trekking, wild camping, quad bikes and evenings with local families, and we keep prices fair for groups. Our standard tents and wild-camping options are popular with younger travelers.

Safety

Safety and supervision

Teachers and leaders receive a full program in advance. In the camp we have clear rules for activities, water and sun, and a member of our team is always reachable. Adventure activities like quads are optional and always guided, with helmets and a briefing.
