Weddings in the dunes
An unforgettable place to say yes
A Sahara wedding feels both simple and grand: warm sunset light on the dunes, Berber drums, a long table beneath the stars and everyone you love gathered in one camp. Your guests will be telling the story for years.
For Canadian couples it is a destination wedding with a difference. Guests can fly nonstop from Montreal to Casablanca or connect through Europe, and French-speaking guests from Quebec will feel at home, as French is widely spoken in Morocco. We organize symbolic ceremonies, vow renewals, elopements and full parties, and our Merzouga team prepares the ceremony site, decoration, food, music, accommodation and transfers.
- Symbolic ceremony or vow renewal on top of a dune
- Exclusive use of the camp for larger groups (on request)
- Traditional Berber music, fire and dancing
- Accommodation in luxury, deluxe A/C or standard tents

Plan with us
How we plan a wedding in Merzouga
Every wedding is different, so we start with a simple conversation: your date, the number of guests, the style you like and your budget. We then send you a detailed proposal with accommodation, food, decoration and activities.
Closer to the date we confirm the final number of guests, the menu and the timing. On the day, our team is with you from the arrival of the first guests to the last song around the fire.
- 1. Send us your date, number of guests and ideas
- 2. Receive a custom proposal and price
- 3. Confirm with a deposit
- 4. We organize transfers, tents, food, music and decoration
- 5. Enjoy your day – we take care of the rest
Legal information
Symbolic ceremony or legal marriage?
Most couples who marry in the desert hold a symbolic ceremony and complete the legal marriage at home before or after the trip. A legal marriage in Morocco involves official paperwork and rules that depend on your nationality and religion, so please check with your embassy.
A symbolic ceremony gives you complete freedom: you can write your own vows, choose a friend to lead the ceremony and mix traditions from both families.
For your guests
Make it a desert weekend
Give your guests more than one evening. Many couples plan two or three nights in Merzouga with a welcome dinner, the wedding day and a relaxed farewell breakfast. Between the celebrations your guests can try quad bikes, buggies, sandboarding or a 4×4 trip to the nomads and the desert lakes.
