Yoga Retreat in the Sahara Desert

Practise yoga and meditation where the only sound is the wind. We host yoga teachers and groups from Hong Kong in our camp in the Erg Chebbi dunes, with a calm practice space, nourishing meals and all the logistics organised for you.

Silence and space

Why hold a yoga retreat in the desert?

For students used to crowded studios and the constant pace of Hong Kong, the Sahara offers something rare: open space, soft sand, dry clean air and a silence deep enough to hear your own breath. Sunrise practice on a dune, as the light spreads over Erg Chebbi, stays with people long after the retreat.

Flights from Hong Kong usually connect via a hub to Marrakech, Casablanca or Fes, so many groups begin with a night in a riad to rest before heading to the desert. You lead the practice; we take care of the camp, the food, the transport and the activities, so you can give your whole attention to your group.

For teachers

Hosting your own group

Send us your dates, the size of your group and your programme. We prepare a proposal with accommodation, meals, practice times and transport, and we can include the camp in a longer retreat that also visits Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains or Fes.

Groups can choose between standard tents with shared bathrooms, luxury tents with private bathrooms and deluxe tents with air-conditioning – or mix them to suit different budgets.

When to go

Best season for a desert retreat

The most comfortable months are October to April, with warm days and cool nights. March, April, October and November are ideal for long outdoor sessions. In winter the nights can be cold, so we provide extra blankets. From June to September we plan practice for early morning and evening only.
