Celebrate differently
A birthday nobody will forget
Whether it is a 30th, a 50th or a child’s first desert adventure, a birthday in the Sahara becomes a story people retell for years. We prepare the camp, the cake, the decorations and the music, and we gladly help with a surprise if the birthday person must not know.
With direct flights from many European cities to Marrakech or Fes, a desert birthday fits easily into a long weekend or a short holiday. Friends can even fly in from different countries and meet in Morocco. Big or small, calm or lively – tell us how you want to celebrate and we plan the evening around you.
- Cake or traditional Moroccan sweets with candles
- Decoration with lanterns, candles and Berber carpets
- Drums, songs and dancing around the fire
- Private dinner for two or a long table for the whole group

Birthday ideas for couples, families and friends
For couples we prepare a romantic evening with a private dinner and decorated tent. For families we plan easy activities such as a short camel ride, sandboarding and stargazing, and a cake that children will love. For groups of friends we add music, fire and adventure activities such as quad bikes and buggies.
Example evening
How a birthday night in the desert works
- Late afternoon: arrival in Merzouga and camel ride into the dunes
- Sunset: toast on a dune and group photos
- Evening: dinner with a birthday cake and candles
- Night: drums, songs and stargazing around the fire
- Morning: sunrise and breakfast in the camp
Make it a weekend
Add a second day of adventure
Stay two nights and add a 4×4 day trip to the nomads, the Gnawa musicians of Khamlia and the seasonal desert lakes, or a morning of quad bikes on the big dunes. It turns the birthday into a real desert holiday.
