The experience
Cook like a Berber family
Moroccan food is about spices, patience and sharing. In this hands-on class you join a local cook in a family kitchen in Merzouga and prepare a complete meal from fresh ingredients – the same dishes families eat every day in the south of Morocco.
You learn how to mix the spices for a tagine, how to fold and bake Madfouna – the famous “Berber pizza” of Merzouga, stuffed with meat or vegetables and baked in the sand – and how to pour mint tea from high above the glass, the Moroccan way.
When everything is ready, we sit down on the carpet and share the meal. You take the recipes home so you can cook it again for your friends.
- Real family kitchen, not a restaurant
- Every guest cooks – no watching only
- Recipes to take home
