Erg Chebbi is one of the most exciting places in the world to ride off-road: soft golden dunes, long sand ridges and wide stony plains all around. With a motocross or enduro bike you can explore the desert at your own rhythm, from fast tracks on the hamada to technical climbs in the sand.
Travellers from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth usually reach Marrakech or Casablanca with one stop via the Gulf or Europe, then continue overland to Merzouga. Every ride starts from Merzouga village or from our camp in the dunes, and your guide knows the safe routes, the best viewpoints and how the sand changes during the day.

Who can ride
Experience and requirements
Riding a motorbike in soft sand is very different from riding on the road. Motocross and enduro rentals are for riders with off-road or motorbike experience. If you have never ridden a motorbike, we recommend a quad bike or a dune buggy instead – they are easier to control and just as much fun.

Make it a day
Combine your ride with other activities
Many riders combine a morning on the bike with a sunset camel ride and a night in our camp in the dunes. You can also add a 4×4 trip to the nomads, the Gnawa musicians of Khamlia and the seasonal desert lakes, or ride a quad or buggy with friends who prefer four wheels.
