Travelling to Merzouga from Ireland

Travelling from Ireland? Here are the essentials for your trip to Merzouga.

Flights from Ireland

Ryanair flies Dublin to Marrakech almost daily and Aer Lingus about three times a week, in roughly 3 hours 40 minutes. From Belfast, easyJet flies direct to Marrakech. There’s no direct Ireland–Fes route, so Marrakech is the usual gateway.

Entry rules

No visa needed for stays of up to 90 days. Carry a passport with at least 6 months’ validity to be safe.

Money

Our prices are in euros, so there’s no exchange to worry about. The 15% deposit is charged by PayPal and the rest is paid in Merzouga. €1 ≈ 10.95 MAD.

Seasons

February mid-term, Easter and the Halloween mid-term are our busiest weeks for Irish guests. Spring and autumn bring the best weather.

Good to know

Morocco is on Irish time in summer and one hour ahead in winter. Bring an adapter: Irish Type G plugs don’t fit Moroccan sockets.

Getting the shot

Sunrise and sunset give the best light; protect your phone from sand with a zip bag.
