The experience
See the real life of the desert
The dunes of Erg Chebbi are only one part of the Sahara around Merzouga. On this tour your driver takes you by 4×4 to the places most visitors never see: small Berber villages, the tents of nomad families who still live with their goats and camels, and the black stony plains of the hamada.
In the cold months we leave Merzouga between 13:00 and 16:00; in the hot months we start later so you travel in the softer light. The tour ends at our camp, where you take a short camel ride at sunset (or at sunrise, if you prefer) before dinner and a night in the dunes.
- Private 4x4 with a local driver
- Tea with a nomad family
- Sunset or sunrise camel ride
