The tour
Two nights in the dunes from Marrakech
Only three days but a lot of Sahara: on day one we drive from Marrakech over the High Atlas and through the Draa Valley to Merzouga, arriving in time for the camel ride to our camp. Day two is all yours in the desert – nomads, Khamlia village, fossils and the dunes – before a second night at the camp.
On day three we watch the sunrise and drive back to Marrakech by a different, scenic road.

- Day 1Marrakech – Draa Valley – MerzougaEarly start over the High Atlas, through Ouarzazate and the Draa Valley palm groves to Merzouga. Camel or 4×4 to our desert camp.
- Day 2Merzouga: nomads, Khamlia & the dunesSunrise, then a day exploring Erg Chebbi: nomad family, Gnawa music in Khamlia, fossils and an oasis. Second night in the camp.
- Day 3Merzouga – Draa Valley – MarrakechSunrise in the dunes, then via Rissani, Alnif and the Draa Valley over the Tizi n’Tichka back to Marrakech.

Practical information
- Pick-up from your riad or hotel in Marrakech at around 7:30–8:00 am
- Expect 9–10 hours of driving on travel days, with regular stops
- Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals on request
- Bring warm layers – desert nights can be cold
