Travelling to Merzouga from Ireland
Coming from Ireland? Here’s how to reach the dunes and what to know before your night in the Sahara.
Getting to camp
Fly direct from Dublin to Marrakech with Ryanair or Aer Lingus in about 3 hours 40 minutes. Merzouga is 7–8 hours by road from Fes and 9–10 from Marrakech; we can arrange your transfer.
Irish passports
No visa needed for stays of up to 90 days. Carry a passport with at least 6 months’ validity to be safe.
Paying for your stay
Our prices are in euros, so there’s no exchange to worry about. The 15% deposit is charged by PayPal and the rest is paid in Merzouga. €1 ≈ 10.95 MAD.
When Irish guests come
February mid-term, Easter and the Halloween mid-term are our busiest weeks for Irish guests. Spring and autumn bring the best weather.
What to pack
Desert nights from December to February can drop near freezing, so pack a warm layer. Bring an adapter: Irish Type G plugs don’t fit Moroccan sockets.
Booking from Ireland
Send us your Ryanair or Aer Lingus flight details and we’ll match your pick-up in Marrakech.
