Wedding in the Sahara Desert

Say yes on a golden dune at sunset. We organise symbolic weddings, vow renewals, pre-wedding photo shoots and celebrations in the Merzouga desert for couples from Singapore, with tents for guests, music, dinner and a team that handles everything.

Weddings in the dunes

An unforgettable place to say yes

A Sahara wedding is simple and breathtaking: the glow of sunset on the dunes, the sound of Berber drums, a long table under the stars and all your guests together in one camp. Few backdrops are more striking – for the ceremony or for your photos.

For couples from Singapore, flights to Marrakech or Fes usually connect via a hub such as Dubai, Doha, Istanbul or a European city, and many guests combine the wedding with a holiday in Morocco or Europe. We organise symbolic ceremonies, vow renewals, elopements and full parties, and our Merzouga team arranges the ceremony site, decoration, food, music, accommodation and guest transfers.

Plan with us

How we plan a wedding in Merzouga

Every wedding is different, so we start with a simple conversation: your date, the number of guests, the style you like and your budget. We then send you a detailed proposal with accommodation, food, decoration and activities.

Closer to the date we confirm the final number of guests, the menu and the timing. On the day, our team is with you from the arrival of the first guests to the last song around the fire.

  • 1. Send us your date, number of guests and ideas
  • 2. Receive a tailor-made proposal and price
  • 3. Confirm with a deposit
  • 4. We organise transfers, tents, food, music and decoration
  • 5. Enjoy your day – we take care of the rest

Legal information

Symbolic ceremony or legal marriage?

Most couples who marry in the desert hold a symbolic ceremony and complete the legal marriage at home before or after the trip. A legal marriage in Morocco involves official paperwork and rules that depend on your nationality and religion, so please check with your embassy.

A symbolic ceremony gives you complete freedom: you can write your own vows, choose a friend to lead the ceremony and mix traditions from both families.

For your guests

Make it a desert weekend

Give your guests more than one evening. Many couples plan two or three nights in Merzouga with a welcome dinner, the wedding day and a relaxed farewell breakfast. Between the celebrations your guests can try quad bikes, buggies, sandboarding or a 4×4 trip to the nomads and the desert lakes.
