Silence and space
Why hold a yoga retreat in the desert?
The Sahara brings something special to a retreat: open space, soft sand, clean air and a deep silence that makes it easy to turn inward. Practising on a dune at sunrise, as the light creeps over Erg Chebbi, stays with your students long after they land back home.
From Ireland the journey is simple: fly direct from Dublin to Marrakech, or connect to Fes, and we take it from there. With Morocco on GMT+1 there is no jet lag. You lead the practice; we look after the camp, the food, the transport and the activities, so you can give your full attention to your group.
- Practice space in the camp, with mats available on request
- Sessions on the dunes at sunrise and sunset
- Private use of the camp for larger groups (on request)
- Flexible meal times around your programme

For teachers
Hosting your own group
Send us your dates, the size of your group and your programme. We prepare a proposal with accommodation, meals, practice times and transport, and we can include the camp in a longer retreat that also visits Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains or Fes.
Groups can choose between standard tents with shared bathrooms, luxury tents with private bathrooms and deluxe tents with air-conditioning – or mix them to suit different budgets.
When to go
Best season for a desert retreat
The most comfortable months are October to April, with warm days and cool nights. March, April, October and November are ideal for long outdoor sessions. In winter the nights can be cold, so we provide extra blankets. From June to September we plan practice for early morning and evening only.
