- Transfers from Marrakech or Fes
Silence and space
Why hold a yoga retreat in the desert?
The Sahara gives a retreat something rare: open space, soft sand, clean air and a deep silence that makes it easy to turn inwards. Practising on a dune at dawn, as the light spreads slowly across Erg Chebbi, is something your students will remember long after they are home.
It is also an easy trip from Britain. Direct flights link London, Manchester, Bristol and other UK airports with Marrakech and Fes, and with Morocco on GMT+1 there is no jet lag to recover from. You lead the practice; we take care of the camp, the food, the transport and the activities, so you can focus entirely on your group.
- Practice area in the camp, with mats on request
- Sessions on the dunes at sunrise and sunset
- Private use of the camp for larger groups (on request)
- Flexible mealtimes around your timetable

For teachers
Hosting your own group
Send us your dates, the size of your group and your programme. We prepare a proposal with accommodation, meals, practice times and transport, and we can include the camp in a longer retreat that also visits Marrakech, the Atlas Mountains or Fes.
Groups can choose between standard tents with shared bathrooms, luxury tents with private bathrooms and deluxe tents with air-conditioning – or mix them to suit different budgets.
When to go
Best season for a desert retreat
The most comfortable months are October to April, with warm days and cool nights. March, April, October and November are ideal for long outdoor sessions. In winter the nights can be cold, so we provide extra blankets. From June to September we plan practice for early morning and evening only.
